Our Story

EMQ is a pioneer in MQ and AI technologies, delivering the EMQX Platform—the world's first MQTT and AI platform designed specifically for real-time intelligence. Our innovative platform bridges the physical world and artificial intelligence, transforming IoT data streams from manufacturing, autonomous driving, and robotics into actionable insights through a unified, scalable solution.

Our journey began in 2013 with the open source project EMQX, now the world's most scalable MQTT broker for IoT, IIoT, and connected vehicles. Building upon this foundation, EMQ was officially founded in 2017 to further advance our MQ + AI vision, enabling customers worldwide to connect, move, process, and analyze real-time IoT data streams with cutting-edge AI technology.

Today, EMQ serves more than 1,000 enterprise clients and connects over 250 million smart devices worldwide, is trusted by industry leaders like Geely, HPE, VMware, Verifone, SAIC Volkswagen, Lucid, and Ericsson.

Headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, EMQ maintains an R&D center in Stockholm and operates more than 10 offices worldwide. Our mission is to seamlessly connect the physical world to artificial intelligence, enabling enterprises to harness the full potential of their IoT data and AI.
